The road to this national park is indeed a 'rough' one. Well yes, there is a concrete pavement that leads to the lake but it seems the construction of it was rationed.
By the entrance, there is a Php10.00 fee which is being collected by a woman who I doubt has the right to collect those fees no matter how small.
This was the first time I ever tried swimming in a lake and doing so reminded me of Lake Placid and Anaconda. I never dared to close my eyes or put my head under the water. It's creepy.. That is also why Roland didn't swim. Still a great experience though.
The serene Lake Danao with its floating bamboo rafts can offer a great bonding experience for family vacationers. Only if the government and/or department of tourism will refrain to avert from the potential of our natural wonders.
Lake Danao deserves more!
